What is the nearest airport to Gir National Park?

Gir has no airport of its own, so every air traveller finishes by road. Per the Gujarat forest department, the closest airport is Keshod (about 70 km), a small airport with limited flights. Diu (about 100 km) is another near option. How to reach Gir from Mumbai

From Mumbai, Gir is about 1,000 km by road, so most travellers fly or take the train. The quickest way is to fly to Rajkot and drive about 4 to 5 hours or fly to Diu and drive about 2 hours. When is Gir National Park open?
