Package overview

A clear, temple-first plan for your Somnath Dwarka trip

A 4 days 3 nights Somnath Dwarka package costs Rs. 15,000 per person at the 3 star tier, Rs. 30,000 at 4 star and Rs. 37,500 at 5 star, with hotel, breakfast and your vehicle included. Three nights is the first plan that holds everything the circuit is famous for without compressing a day: Dwarkadhish twice, Bet Dwarka across Sudarshan Setu, Nageshwar, Porbandar on the coastal run, and Somnath’s 7:00 pm aarti with the 7:45 pm show. The only real decision is where the third night sleeps, and it changes the trip more than the price does.

Trip highlights

  • Rs. 15,000 per person for 3 nights at 3 star, vehicle included.
  • Dwarka to Somnath is 233 km on NH51, 5 to 6 hours.
  • Jay Somnath sound and light show runs 7:45 pm to 8:45 pm per the Shree Somnath Trust.

Where the third night goes

Three nights across two towns means one town gets two. That is the whole design question, and no competitor page asks it out loud.

SplitDay 2 in DwarkaTrade
2 nights Dwarka, 1 night SomnathA full unhurried day: Bet Dwarka in the morning, Nageshwar, Rukmini Devi, Gopi Talav, Bhadkeshwar at low tideSomnath gets one evening and one morning. Enough for both aartis and the tirths, tight for anything else.
1 night Dwarka, 2 nights SomnathBet Dwarka gets squeezed against the 233 km driveSomnath gets a spare half day for Bhalka, Triveni, Prabhas Patan museum and Diu as a day trip

We build the first split by default. Dwarka has more to hold you: the island, the bridge, Nageshwar and the ghat all need daylight, while Somnath’s centre of gravity is one evening and one morning inside a single complex. If you are continuing to Diu or Gir afterwards, the second split wins. Next step: send your dates and we will confirm the split with your day-wise plan.

Day-wise itinerary

Day1
To Dwarka
Full Day|Temple Visits
  • 05:30Pickup at Ahmedabad. Before sunrise is not us being difficult. The run is 440 to 450 km and 8 to 9 hours, and the temple shuts at about 1:00 pm.
  • 08:00Breakfast on the Rajkot highway. Kathiawadi country, and the last reliably good food stop for a while.
  • 13:30Lunch near Jamnagar.
  • 16:30Dwarka hotel check in.
  • 17:30Dwarkadhish evening darshan as the gates reopen. Cameras and phones go to the cloakroom, so leave the bag in the car.
  • 18:30Gomti Ghat, the ghat steps, and the shikhara flag.
  • 20:00Dinner.

Starting from Rajkot or Jamnagar instead? The day starts four to five hours later and you gain an afternoon. See from Rajkot and from Jamnagar.

Day2
Bet Dwarka and Nageshwar
Full Day|Temple Visits
  • 06:30Mangala Aarti at Dwarkadhish. This is the reason you slept here.
  • 09:00Drive to Okha, then across Sudarshan Setu. The 2.32 km cable stayed bridge opened on 25 February 2024 and replaced the boat crossing. Its footpath carries verses from the Bhagavad Gita.
  • 10:00Bet Dwarka darshan and the island temples.
  • 12:30Back across the bridge.
  • 13:30Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, on the Dwarka to Okha road, so it costs no detour.
  • 15:30Rukmini Devi Temple, Gopi Talav, and Bhadkeshwar Mahadev if the tide allows. Bhadkeshwar sits out on the rocks and is reachable at low tide, so it is a maybe, not a promise.
  • 19:00Free evening.
Day3
The coastal run to Somnath
Full Day|Temple Visits
  • 07:00Leave Dwarka after breakfast. NH51, 233 km, 5 to 6 hours.
  • 09:30Porbandar. Kirti Mandir and Sudama Mandir, a real stop of about an hour.
  • 13:00Lunch, Madhavpur or the Veraval side.
  • 15:00Somnath hotel check in.
  • 18:30Vallabhghat for sunset over the Arabian Sea.
  • 19:00Sandhya Aarti.
  • 19:45Jay Somnath sound and light show, 7:45 pm to 8:45 pm per the Trust. Dinner comes after, not before, which is where most itineraries go wrong.
Day4
Somnath and home
Full Day|Temple Visits
  • 07:00Mangala Aarti at 7:00 am and unhurried darshan.
  • 08:30Bhalka Tirth, Triveni Sangam, Geeta Mandir, Ahalyabai temple from 1782, and Kapardi Vinayak inside the complex.
  • 11:00Depart for Ahmedabad, about 410 km, 7 to 8 hours.
  • 19:00Drop at airport, station or home.

If the drive slips. Highway days move. If day 1 runs late, we drop Gomti Ghat and protect the darshan. If day 3 runs late, we drop the Porbandar stop and protect the 7:00 pm aarti. The order of sacrifice is decided before you leave, not argued about in the car.

Good to know on price

Rates are Rs. 5,000, Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 12,500 per person per night, times three nights. Vehicle by group size: sedan for 2 to 3, Ertiga for 4 to 5, Innova Crysta for 5 to 6, 9 seater tempo traveller, 12 seater Maharaja or Urbania, 26 seater tempo traveller.

General darshan is free at both temples. The Shree Somnath Trust accepts room bookings, pooja vidhi and donations only through its own official website and never through private numbers, WhatsApp or UPI. Book your seva there yourself, or ask us and we will point you at the official page.

Why choose Experience My India for the 4 day plan

  • The night split is a decision, not a default. We tell you why two nights sit in Dwarka and what changes if you flip it.
  • The order of sacrifice is agreed before you leave. When a highway day slips, we already know what gets dropped to protect the darshan.
  • We plan around the closures. The 1:00 pm Dwarkadhish shutter and the 7:45 pm Somnath show decide this itinerary, and both are on this page.
  • A local Gujarat team. The people planning your route drive it.
  • One number, answered by a planner. +91 7302265809 on call and WhatsApp.
  • Timings verified in July 2026 and reconfirmed before your departure.
  • Cancellation and refund terms are on the cancellation and refund page, booking terms on the booking policy page. More at about, our Gujarat team, methodology and reviews.

Four days, both temples, the island, the bridge and both aartis, from Rs. 15,000 per person. Send your dates and group size on +91 7302265809 and you get the day-wise plan with the night split confirmed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Package FAQs

Is 4 days enough for Somnath and Dwarka?
Yes. Three nights is the first plan that holds both temples, Bet Dwarka and Porbandar without compressing a day. It is what most families book on a first visit.
What does a 4 days 3 nights Somnath Dwarka package cost?
Rs. 15,000 per person at 3 star, Rs. 30,000 at 4 star and Rs. 37,500 at 5 star, with hotel, breakfast and vehicle included.
Can we do Bet Dwarka and reach Somnath the same day?
Not with the 7:00 pm aarti at the far end. Bet Dwarka is a half day and Somnath is 233 km away. On a 4 day plan you do not have to choose, which is exactly what the third night buys you over the 3 day plan.
Is Bet Dwarka reached by ferry?
No. Sudarshan Setu, 2.32 km, opened on 25 February 2024, and you drive across. Pages still selling a boat ride were written before the bridge.
What is the best time of year for this plan?
October to March. Summer crosses 40 degrees on this coast and the monsoon can cancel the Somnath show, which runs weather permitting.
