The Best Time and Slot for Active Lions

Zone choice gets you into the park. Timing decides how active the lions are once you are inside.

• Early morning is king. The 6:00 AM to 6:30 AM slot features the most active lions, before the day heats up and the cats settle into shade.

• Winter and early spring, December to April, offer pleasant weather and clear viewing. This is the most comfortable window for families.

• Summer, March to May, concentrates sightings near water holes as animals come to drink. It is hot, but the odds climb, so carry water and cover up.

What I Tell Every Guest Before They Choose
